Marshals are offered greater flexibility and choice on two-session days
For TT 2026, we’ve introduced an exciting change on days that are usually split by the 5–6pm break.
To give marshals greater flexibility and choice, most areas of the TT course will now offer two separate marshal sessions on the same day. This allows you to select one or both sessions, depending on your availability.
Mountain Section – Important Exception
The only exception applies to marshals booking between:
Sector 9 – Waterworks and Sector 11 – Kate’s Cottage
Due to the mountain one‑way road closure being in place for the entire day, marshals in this section will be required to cover both sessions.
If you choose one of these sectors, you’ll automatically be booked onto the two sessions identified as “mountain one‑way” areas.
More Sessions, More Benefits
One of the great advantages of this change is that it allows marshals to accumulate more sessions over the event — helping unlock improved benefits and incentives, including offers such as the Steam Packet Rebate.
Planning Your Location
If you’re considering marshalling at different locations on a two‑session day, please plan your travel carefully:
- Roads are only open for around one hour
- Traffic can be particularly busy as the public returns home.
To reduce the risk of delays or missing a session, we strongly recommend staying at the same location wherever possible.
Thank you for being a marshal.
