Improvements to Marshals Supper Invitations

Invitations to be used for supper bookings

Invitations to be used for supper bookings

We recognise that the marshals supper is a highlight of the event for many marshals, but also a source of frustration expressed by some for how to get tickets. In previous years we received feedback that some marshals were able to book on to the marshals supper even if they only completed very few sessions at the event. This was frustrating for those marshals who had committed to be at the majority of sessions as volunteers who were unable to book a place as a result.

We have therefore changed the process for obtaining marshal supper tickets to recognise their contribution at event. Rather than making the supper bookings open for any marshal, we will issuing invitations direct to marshals based on their number of sessions volunteered at event, starting with this who have committed to volunteer for the most sessions through to those who have volunteered the least.

How will it work?

We will issue invitations over a 7 to 10 day period, which will be sent direct by email to each marshal. Each invitation will last for 7 days so be sure to let us know if you can be with us on your chosen evening as soon as you receive the invitation by “accepting” or “declining” the offer. At MGP & Classic TT 2026 you will only be able to choose one of the two suppers on offer, the other will be declined for you.

If for any reason you are unable to attend the marshals supper, please “withdraw” your ticket so that another marshal can attend in your place by signing on to your marshals portal and selecting “MY SOCIAL EVENTS”

Tickets will go quickly

Tickets are allocated on a “first come first served” basis so you should respond as quickly as you can to the email offer, we will be issuing further email offer in batches and if you miss your offer then your chance of a ticket may be missed. We regret that we will be unable to add marshals at event where they have lower session attendance marshals wanting to join groups who have higher attendance volunteered.

Access to the Marshals Supper

To assist with entry and checking at the suppers, we have introduced a new QR code on each marshals warrant card, so we should be able to scan you in quicker on the evening. Please ensure that you bring your warrant card with you for fast access to the supper.

Reserve List

In previous years we have operated a paper reserve list and advised by separate email and call that a ticket will be available. At this event we will be offering a “reserve list” request online so that marshals will automatically be allocated a place when another marshal withdraws from the supper, simply choose “RESERVE LIST” if the evening is full and you will be placed in order or your request for allocation of a place.

Marshals Supper format reminder

We are providing 2 marshals suppers and entertainment at Woodbourne House, Woodbourne Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM2 3EE. The suppers will be a choice of two evenings in two formats - on Sunday 23rd August as a full formal supper or Monday 24th August in a relaxed format. The suppers will be open for every marshal who signs on and completes sessions at the event.

We hope that you enjoy the evening.

Best wishes,

 TT Marshals Team
